This website and it's contents are the cultural intellectual property of the Ohero:kon Rites of Passage born from within the ancestral, traditional knowledge of the Akwesasne Kanienkeha Mohawk and Haudenosaunee people and culture bearers. The information contained within these pages and the practices thereof, shall not be assumed, appropriated or utilized by any other community, nation, or individual for the purposes of establishing a rites of passage without the express consent of the Ohero:kon Rites of Passage Council.

The use of the Ohero:kon name and processes is within the sole right and discretion of the existing and original Ohero:kon Rites of Passage Council as established within the Akwesasne Mohawk community by the Bear Clan Mother, Waskerakats:te, Louise McDonald.

Ohero:kon does not claim the right or authority over ceremony, but over its processes of ceremony and teaching for the purpose of developing healthy and culturally informed Indigenous youth.

Ohero:kon shall seek legal protections from the Akwesasne Council, Akwesasne Tribal Court, the Haudenosaunee Grand Council as forms of protection and prosecution against individuals, groups, and corporations that use the Ohero:kon Rites of Passage name and processes in order to replicate (a similar) process in the name of Ohero:kon.

Any individual, group or company that uses the Ohero:kon name or processes in the Ohero:kon name automatically avails itself to the jurisdiction of the Akwesasne people and is subject to the laws of the:
